3 die falling from under-construction building

Three workers died after falling from an under-construction building at the Tax Commissioner’s office in Khulna on Tuesday. 

The deceased were identified as Rabbi, Ashraful, and Mamun.

According to local residents, the workers had been working on the building in the Boyra area of Sonadanga since the morning. Eight workers were on a scaffold on the fifth floor when three of them suddenly fell. Later, the three workers were taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. Their bodies are now at the hospital.

Shariful Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Sonadanga Model Police Station, said that police were sent to the spot to take necessary actions. The bodies will be handed over to their families after post-mortem.
