5 die as microbus hits auto-rickshaw in Sirajganj

Five people were killed and two others injured as a microbus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Sirajganj's Kamarkhand on Sunday.

Among the deceased, three were identified as Rashedul Islam, driver of the auto-rickshaw and a resident of Brahmabayra village in Raiganj, and Nuruzzaman and Tareque Rahman of Bhatra village in Tarash.

A microbus rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Sirajganj-Nalka road in Kutirchar area around 11:45am, leaving three dead on the spot and four others injured.

Later, police and Fire Service personnel sent the injured to Shaheed M Monsur Ali Medical College Hospital where two more died, he added.
