Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus visited critically injured individuals from the recent student-mass uprising at the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospital on Saturday, where he checked on their health and recovery.

"He [Prof Yunus] visited four students currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit," said the hospital’s director, Kazi Deen Mohammad, during a briefing. He added that the students had sustained bullet injuries to their heads, but their conditions are now showing signs of improvement.

Yunus also inquired about the status of others who were critically injured by security forces during the student-led uprising that occurred between July and August.

The hospital in Agargaon has treated at least eleven people, including eight students from various universities and colleges, who were injured during the unrest.

Yunus was accompanied by Badrul Alam, the institute’s joint director, along with senior physicians during his visit.
