Yunus pays tribute to fallen armed forces members

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Thursday paid homage to the martyred members of the armed forces by laying a wreath at Shikha Anirban in Dhaka Cantonment. 

After placing the wreath, Prof Yunus stood in solemn silence to honor the sacrifices of the armed forces personnel. 

He also signed the visitor's book following the tribute.

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan and Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division Lieutenant General SM Kamrul Hassan welcomed Chief Adviser Prof Yunus when he arrived at Shikha Anirban.

After laying wreath at Shikha Anirban, the Chief Adviser spent his first working day at his own office in the Armed Forces Division.

On his arrival at the Armed Forces Division, the Chief Adviser was received by the Principal Staff Officer and Directors General of the Armed Forces Division.

After that the Chiefs of Army, Navy and Air Force paid a courtesy call on the Chief Adviser at his office.

Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Defence Affairs Lieutenant General (Retd) Abdul Hafiz was present.
