Lutfey Siddiqi appointed CA’s spl envoy on int’l affairs
The interim government has appointed Lutfey Siddiqi as the Chief Adviser's Special Envoy on International Affairs.
The Cabinet Division in a gazette notification informed this on Wednesday. In this role, Lutfey will enjoy the same privileges as an adviser.
Lutfey Siddiqi is an Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore and a Visiting Professor-in-Practice at the London School of Economics. He has an impressive background in global finance, having served as Global Head of Emerging Markets for FX, Rates & Credit at UBS Investment Bank and as a Managing Director at Barclays Bank.
Recognised as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2012, Siddiqi has been actively involved in various WEF councils and steering groups focusing on capital markets, infrastructure investment, inclusive growth, and global risks. He has also spoken at numerous WEF events, including the official program at Davos.
Lutfey serves on the advisory boards of the LSE Systemic Risk Centre and the NUS Centre for Governance. He is also on the governing boards of UWC Atlantic College and NCC London. His contributions extend to the Bretton Woods Committee, the CFA Institute's Future of Finance initiative, and the OMFIF, a forum for central banks.
In addition to his academic and professional achievements, Lutfey Siddiqi has maintained a significant international media presence and has been recognized as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) by the Government of Bangladesh since 2009.
