16 DIGs including RAB Addl DG transferred

Sixteen Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) including Additional Director General of RAB Imtiaz Ahmed have been transferred and attached to different units of police. 

The Police-1 branch of Public Security Division of Home Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday.  

Deputy Secretary Md Mahabur Rahman Sheikh signed the notification by the order of President. 

DIGs of Special branch AZM Nafiul Islam, Md Monirul Islam, DIG of police headquarters Md Nisharul Arif, DIG of Highway police Md Jamil Hasan and DIG of Mass Rapid Transit (Metro rail) Md Mahbubur Rahman were attached to Anti-Terrorism Unit.

Additional Director General of RAB Headquarters Imtiaz Ahmed, SB’s DIG Md Abdul Kuddus Amin and Industrial police DIG Mohammad Abul Foyez were attached to neval police. 

DIG of Criminal Investigation Department of Police AKM Nahidul Islam was attached to police telecom while SB’s DIG Amena Begum, Industrial police DIG Md Azad Miah were attached to highway police. 

SB’s DIG Md Monir Hossain was attached to industria police while SB’s Md Moniruzzaman was attached to Bangladesh Police Academy in Rajshahi.

CID’s DIG Shyamal Kumar Nath and DMP’s Additional Commissioner SM Mostaq Ahmed were attached to APBn Headquarters, Dhaja while Police Bureau of Investigation’s DIG Miraz Uddin Ahmmed was attached to railway police.
