Ehsanul appointed as Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor

Senior lawyer Ehsanul Haque Samaji has been appointed as Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor. 

He will replace Abdullah Abu. 

The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued a gazette notification in this regard on Wednesday.  

However, the appointment of Md Abdullah Abu as Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor was canceled, said the notification. 

Samaji served as the Dhaka Metropolitan Public Prosecutor and the Public Prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Commission during the caretaker government from 2007 to 2009.

He obtained his LLB degree in 1984 and LLM degree in 1985 from Dhaka University. He was enrolled as a lawyer on October 30, 1986, and became a member of the Dhaka Bar Association on November 4 of the same year. On April 7, 1988, he was listed as a lawyer in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court. He became a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association on January 21, 1992.
