Musapur regulator breaches, panic in Noakhali

Twenty-three vent regulator in Musapur Union of Companiganj in Noakhali has broken due to heavy rains and upstream flows, causing widespread panic in Companiganj, Kabirhat of Noakhali and the adjacent areas of Feni's Sonagazi and Daganbhuiyan.

Deputy Commissioner Dewan Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the incident to Jago News at 11:30am on Monday (August 26). 

He explained that the regulator broke while it was being adjusted to manage the water flow. 

Although floodwaters recede during low tide, high tide now poses a risk of water entering localities. The army's engineering team is currently working to address the issue.
