BWDB opens control room, cancels officials’ leave
Bangladesh Water Development Board (WDB) has opened a control room at its Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre to monitor the flood situation in the north-eastern part of the country.
Deepankar Bor, Public Relations Office of the Water Resources Ministry, confirmed the matter in a press release on Wednesday night.
According to the release, a control room has been opened at the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre of BWDB to monitor the flood situation.
In case of emergency, flood-hit people have been asked to contact the WDB at the following numbers: 01318234962, 01765405576, 01559728158, 01674356208. They can also send emails to [email protected] and [email protected].
However, the WDB has cancelled leave for all its officials and employees in the northeastern regions of the country until further notice.
