3 yaba peddlers held with 3 lakh yaba

Members of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CT) unit of police arrested three yaba peddlers along with 3 lakh yaba tablets from city’s Sobujbagh area on Monday night.

The arrestees are SM Salauddin, 48, Md Jakir, 22 and Md. Khairul Amin, 19.

ASM Hafizur Rahman, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police said acting on secret information a team of CT conducted a drive at Sobujbagh Kamlapur School area in city’s Sobujbagh in the night and arrested the trio.

During the drive, the law enforcers also rescued a private car and 3 lakh of yaba tablet from their possession.

A case was filed with Sobujbagh Police Station in the connection.
