4 of a family killed as truck, microbus collide

Four members of a family were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a microbus in Sirajganj in the early hours of Monday. 

The accident took place on Hatikumrul-Rajshahi highway at Chariashikha area in Salanga area around 3:30am. 

The deceased were identified as Jasimuddin, 64, his brother Jamal Uddin and his son Kamal Hossain, 32, of Narsinghapur village at Baghmara upazila in Rajshahi. 

Taj Uddin, Inspector (investigation) of Salanga police station, confirmed the matter. 

No one was detained in the incident, he said.
