3 of a family die in Cox’s Bazar landslide

Three members of a family were killed in a landslide in Pekua of Cox’s Bazar early Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Momtaz Begum, 40, wife of Sarwar Kamal, an expatriate in the UAE, their daughter Moyna, 12, and grandson Toha Mahi, 8.

Pekua police station’s officer-in-charge, Mohammaed Ilyas, said they were informed that three members of a family died in a landslide in Segunbagicha area of Shilkhali caused by heavy rainfall.
