'Pass the parcel' at Public Security Div

In a surprising turn of events, Mokabbir Hossain, who was appointed as the senior secretary of the Public Security Division under the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been transferred just three days into his new role. 

On Saturday (August 17), he was reassigned as the senior secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

On the same day, Jahangir Alam, the Secretary of the Public Security Division, was placed on compulsory retirement.

In another notable move, Suleman Khan, the Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department, has been appointed as a member (secretary) of the Planning Commission.
