Dhaka WASA MD Taqsem resigns

Taqsem A Khan, the much-discussed managing director of Dhaka WASA, has resigned from his post.

He sent his resignation letter through an email on Wednesday.

In his resignation letter, he stated that he was unable to perform the duties of Managing Director of the WASA due to illness, according to the WASA sources.

Taqsem was first appointed as Managing Director (MD) of Dhaka WASA in 2009. His tenure was subsequently extended multiple times, with his most recent appointment for another three years in August of last year.

He did not go to the office for a single day following Sheikh Hasina’s resignation as Prime Minister. It is not known whether he is still in the country or abroad.
