Press Minister Shaban’s contractual appointment cancelled

The contractual appointment of journalist Shaban Mahmud, the press minister of the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi, has been cancelled.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Tuesday.

According to the notification, this order will be effective immediately in public interest.

Shaban was appointed to the post for two years on November 16, 2020. He received an extension on November 2, 2022, for an additional two years.
