Home adviser orders to surrender looted arms within 7 days
The interim government's adviser for home affairs, Brigadier General (retd) M Sakhawat Hossain, has ordered those who have looted arms to surrender them at police stations within seven days.
The home affairs adviser said this while talking to the reporters on Monday.
He said if the weapons are not handed in by next Monday (August 19), an arms recovery operation will begin. If arms are found, strict action will be taken.
Earlier on Sunday, the home affairs adviser announced that police personnel who will not return to work by Thursday will face termination.
