Two more sworn in as advisers

Supradeep Chakma and Bidhan Ranjan Roy have been sworn in as the advisers of the interim government led by Nobel Laureate Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath at Bangabhaban around 12:45pm on on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Syed Refaat Ahmed took oath as the 25th Chief Justice of Bangladesh. 

However, another adviser Farooq-e-Azam may take oath on Monday or Tuesday. He will return home from USA tonight. 

On August 8, Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus and his thirteen advisers took oath to form the new interim government. 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on August 5 resigned and fled the country in the face of mass uprising. Later, the Cabinet was dissolved.
