Yunus offers prayers at Abu Sayeed’s grave in Rangpur
Chief Adviser to the interim government Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus on Saturday visited the home of Abu Sayeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University, who was killed in police firing during the recent quota reform movement in Rangpur.
He offered prayers at the grave of the slain student and talked to his family members.
Earlier in the morning, Yunus went to Jafarpara Babanpur village in Pirganj upazila by a helicopter to visit Abu Sayeed’s home.
However, the security measures have been beefed up in the area over the arrival of the interim government chief. The members of army and other law enforcement agencies are staying there.
