Asaduzzaman appointed as new Attorney General

Md Asaduzzaman, a lawyer of the Supreme Court, has been appointed as the new Attorney General.

President Mohammad Shahabuddin appointed him on Thursday.

Earlier in the day, Additional Attorney General SM Munir resigned, submitting his resignation letter to the Office of Attorney General.

On Wednesday, AM Amin Uddin and Sheikh Mohammad Morshed resigned from their posts as Attorney General and Additional Attorney General respectively.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country on August 5 in the face of a mass uprising. The reshuffle in various departments of the government including the administration started following her resignation.
