Medical coaching centers closed till Sept 18

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry today ordered closure of the medical college admission tests coaching centers till September 18 from Monday to ensure transparency in the MBBS and BDS admission tests.

The ministry today issued a gazette notification to this end saying that the decision was taken to save the students and guardians from being cheated by some unscrupulous people.

Admission tests to 29 public medical colleges and 64 private medical colleges across the country will be held on September 18 for the session 2015-16.

Some cheats and unscrupulous persons have been misguiding the students as well as the guardians assuring them of confirmed admissions in the MBBS and BDS courses, the circular said.

They also gave assurance of providing the exact question papers of the admission tests through online, it also said.
