Ijtema 1st phase concludes with seeking world peace

First phase of Bishwa Ijtema has been winded up with the Akheri Munazat (final prayer). Maulana Mohammad Saa`d from Delhi conducted the 28-minute-long munazat at the ijtema ground on Turag bank. About a five million Muslims participated in the prayer from Turag bank and other parts of the country.

Seeking peace of the world and prosperity for the Muslim community, millions of devotees put their hands together towards Allah.

Despite the strike imposed by the opposition party thousands of men, women and children came at the Ijtema ground on the Turag bank to participate in the Akheri Munazat. Government took special protection measures for the devotees. Also special train and BRTC buses were run to take the participants to the Ijtema and to clear the rush from there after the prayer.

The homebound devotees have already taken vehicles to leave the place since the 1st phase has just concluded. Second phase of the Ijtema will begin from 16th of this month, and will be concluded with the Akheri Munazat on 18th.
