High alert on Indo-Bangladesh border
Following the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her departure from Bangladesh, a high alert has been issued along the India-Bangladesh international border.
The helicopter carrying Hasina has already landed in India.
In response to the situation, the Director General of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has arrived in Kolkata to assess and oversee the security measures.
According to sources, the BSF will take primary responsibility for Sheikh Hasina's security during her stay in India, although members of the Indian Army will also be deployed.
In addition, extra BSF personnel have been stationed at the border to prevent any potential infiltration. As a precaution, all import and export activities at the border have been temporarily suspended.
