Thousands rally at Shaheed Minar

Thousands of people rallied at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka on Friday afternoon to demand justice for those killed in the violence centring the quota reform movement.

Students, teachers, and people from all walks of life gathered there with processions there and were chanting various slogans.

Teachers from different universities, including former Jahangirnagar University professor Anu Muhammad and Dhaka University professor Dr Asif Nazrul, joined the protesters.

Earlier, a march started from Jatiya Press Club around 2:50pm and reached the Central Shaheed Minar around 3:30 pm.
