147 killed in recent violence: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan confirmed the deaths of 147 people in the recent violence surrounding the quota reform movement. 

Among the deceased are police personnel, Awami League leaders and activists, students, and people from various professions.

The minister shared this information with reporters in his office on Sunday, July 28. He mentioned that further inquiries are underway to ascertain the exact death toll, including the breakdown of victims by gender and profession.
