The ongoing curfew has been relaxed for 11 hours from 7am to 6pm on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in Dhaka, Gazipur and Narayanganj.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said this while talking to the journalists after a meeting with law enforcement officials at his residence in the capital’s Dhanmondi around 11pm on Saturday.

He said the curfew will also continue in the three districts from 6pm to 7am until Tuesday. Besides, the district administration will decide on the curfew for the other districts.

The government imposed a curfew from 12am on Friday to 10am on Sunday amid the violence centring quota reform movement. Later, the curfew was extended in phases, with certain hours being eased.
