Two schoolboys drown in Kaptai Lake

Two Class X students drowned in Kaptai Lake in Rangamati on Friday afternoon.

The dead were Arnab Chowdhury, 15, student of Shah Bohumukhi High School, and Adison Saha, 16, student of Rangamati Government High School in the town.

Local Kuddus Ali said hearing someone fell into Kaptai Lake in Tabalchhari area, he rushed there and rescued three boys, and later, they were sent to Rangamati General Hospital.

Tisha Chakma, a physician at the hospital, said three boys were brought there and of them, two died before reaching there.

Another boy was referred to Chattogram Medical College Hospital after primary treatment.
