Quota protest: Youth hurt in Jatrabari clash dies at DMCH
A youth, who suffered bullet wounds during a clash in the capital’s Jatrabari centring the quota reform movement, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in the early hours of Friday.
The deceased, Main Uddin, a madrasa student, died while undergoing treatment at the Burn Unit of the hospital around 2am.
The deceased’s father Md Kamrul Islam said my son went to a house for tuition at Rayerbagh area in Jatrabari on July 21. He received bullet injuries when he was returning home after tuition. He was recovered and taken to the DMCH where he died while undergoing treatment.
Md Bachchu Miah, In-charge of DMCH police camp, said the body was kept at the hospital’s morgue. The concerned police station was informed about the matter.
