Curfew relaxed further in Dhaka, 3 other dists for Friday, Saturday

The curfew will continue in four districts including Dhaka on Friday and Saturday, but it will be eased from 8am to 5pm. 

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said this while talking with journalists at his residence in the capital’s Dhanmondi at 12am on Friday. 

He said the curfew will continue in Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj and Narsingdi on Friday and Saturday, but it will be relaxed from 8am to 5pm. Besides, the district administration will decide on the curfew for the other districts. 

Home Minister said the situation is better than before across the country. Whether the curfew will continue on Sunday will be announced later. 

The government imposed curfew from 12am on Friday to 10am on Sunday amid the violence centring quota reform movement. Later, the curfew was extended in phases, with certain hours being eased.
