A youth was shot to death during a clash on Hanif Flyover at Jatrabari in Dhaka on Wednesday night. 

The clash ensued after the quota reform protesters enforced a complete shutdown for Thursday across the country.

The deceased, Siam, 18, was an employee of a battery shop in Gulistan and a resident of Bhola’s Charfesson upazila.

He was taken to the emergency department of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) with injuries around 12am and died there. Later, his relatives received the body.

DMCH’s police camp in-charge Inspector Md Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter to Jago News.  

He said, a youth named Siam sustained bullet injuries during a clash on Hanif Flyover and died before taking to the emergency department of the DMCH. We informed his death to Jatrabari Police Station.
