Quota protest: BGB deployed in DU, 6 districts
The members of Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) were deployed in Dhaka University and six districts centering the quota reform movement.
Md Shariful Islam, Public Relations Officer at BGB Headquarters, confirmed the matter to Jago News on Wednesday.
He said the BGB members were deployed in Dhaka University, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Bogura, Faridpur and Cox’s Bazar to keep the law and order situation normal amid the quota reform movement. The BGB will remain deployed until the situation becomes normal.
It is mentionable that, six people were killed and more than 400 others injured in clashes between Chhatra League activists and quota reform protesters in Rangpur, Chattogram, and Dhaka on Tuesday.
