A young man, who was found with head injuries beside Dhaka City College in the capital Dhaka, died on Tuesday evening.

The deceased was identified as Md Shahjahan, 26.

It was learned that the youth was rescued and first taken to Popular Hospital. Later, Ali, driver of the ambulance that transported the youth, and his assistant Shakil rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

DMCH Police Camp in-charge inspector MD Bachchu Mia confirmed the death.

However, it could not be confirmed whether he died in the clash between the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists and the quota reform protesters in Dhaka College area today.

Earlier, an unidentified youth, aged 27, was killed in the clash.
