This decision was made during the first meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock in the 12th Jatiya Sangsad, held in the parliament building and chaired by SM Rezaul Karim, said a press release.

Committee members in attendance included Fisheries and Livestock Minister Md Abdur Rahman, BM Kabirul Haque, Chhota Monir, Nur Uddin Chowdhury Nayan, Md Rashiduzzaman, Moshtaq Ahmed Ruhi, Moshiur Rahman Molla Sajal, and Ashika Sultana.

Additionally, the committee recommended that the ministry suspend the ongoing recruitment process at the Department of Livestock until a court decision regarding the quota system comes.

The secretary of the ministry, heads of various organisations, and relevant officials from the Parliament Secretariat were also present at the meeting.
