Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has suspended five officials and employees for their alleged involvement in leaking question papers of various recruitment tests.

They are deputy directors Abu Zafar, and Zahangir Alam, assistant director Alamgir Kabir, dispatch rider Khalilur Rahman, and office assistant Sazedul Islam.

Five separate notifications, signed by PSC Chairman Md Sohorab Hossain, said this on Tuesday.

The notifications said the five officials and employees were arrested on allegation of involving themselves in alleged question paper leaks of recruitment test for sub-assistant engineer post of Bangladesh Railway held on July 5.

Later, they were named in a case filed in this connection and that's why, they were suspended as per Section 39(2) of the Public Service Act 2018, the notifications said.

A private television channel in a report on Sunday (July 7) revealed the incident of question paper leaks in various recruitment tests, including the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), under the PSC.

Following the broadcast, a case was lodged against 17 people with Paltan Police Station on Monday (July 8) in this connection.
