A group of students rally in front of InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Dhaka.

Students opposing the quota system in the government jobs have blocked the road in front of InterContinental Dhaka as part of 'Bangla Blockade'.

A portion of the students who blocked the Shahbagh intersection put blockade on the road in front of InterContinental around 4 pm.

Earlier, students under the banner of 'Anti-Discrimination Student Movement' brought out a procession on the Dhaka University campus and later, blocked the Shahbagh intersection for the straight fifth day, demanding the reinstatement of the 2018 gazette notification scrapping the quota system in the first and second class government jobs.

On Saturday, the protesters announced 'Bangla Blockade' program from Saturday. As per the program, students from all universities and colleges in cities and districts will blockade important points in respective areas.
