Four get death in auto-rickshaw driver murder

A court in Kishoreganj has sentenced four people to death for the murder of an auto-rickshaw driver in Bhairab upazila of the district.
The condemned convicts are Liton, Rabbani, Jewel, and Kajal. They all were present at the dock during the pronouncement of the verdict.
Judge Zannatul Ferous Ibn Haque of the District and Sessions Judge Court delivered the verdict on Wednesday.
The court also fined them Tk 2 lakh each.
The case statement said the accused hired the auto-rickshaw of Sohel alias Badar Khandaker from Durjoy intersection on September 22, 2020. Later, they killed Sohel in Kalikaprasad area on the Bhairab-Kishoreganj road and snatched the vehicle.
On the following day, police recovered the body from the area.
On September 25, the victim's father Abdul Hannan Khandaker filed a case with Bhairab Police Station in this connection.
