DNCC demolishes Sadeeq Agro

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has demolished Sadeeq Agro farm built illegally occupying the land of a canal in Mohammadpur of Dhaka.

DNCC conducted an eviction drive at the farm for the third day on Saturday and demolished it.

Mutakabbir Ahmed, zonal executive officer, Zone -5, DNCC and executive magistrate led the operation.

Nine paved establishments, a gate of a housing area, and nearby several small structures were demolished.

Sadeeq Agro grabbed the public attention after selling a goat for Tk 15 lakh before Eid-ul-Azha.

Mushfiqur Rahman Ifat, son of former National Board of Revenue official Matiur Rahman, bought the goat.

However, DNCC said it conducted the eviction drive at the farm as part of operations to recover occupied land of different canals in the capital.
