Three suspected members of Ansar Al Islam arrested

The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested three suspected members of banned militant outfit Ansar Al Islam in Cox's Bazar.
The arrestees are Md Zakaria Mondal, 19, from Islampur in Jamalpur, Md Niamat Ullah, 21, from Bhola, and Md Ozayer, 19, from Sonagazi in Feni.
They were apprehended from Choufaldandi area in the district on Thursday night.
Arafat Islam, director of the legal and media wing of RAB, Cox's Bazar, confirmed the matter.
He said the arrestees are active members of Ansar Al Islam and they joined the organization after being inspired by the Taliban's emergence in Afghanistan.
