Lightning kills 4 in Rangamati

Four people, including a woman, were killed in separate incidents of lightning strikes in Langadu upazila of Rangamati on Saturday afternoon.
Local sources said thunderbolts struck a woman named Rina Begum, 36, at their home at Karallachari Chairman Tila under Atarakchara union, leaving her dead.
Besides, three people were killed in lightning strikes in Kaptai Lake in the same upazila when they were returning home on a boat from Maini Bazar.
They were identified as Bachchu Mia, 30, Ziaul Haque, 50, and Obaidullah, 30.
However, the boat sailor, Akkas Ali, 45, went missing.
Langadu Police Station officer in-charge Harunur Rashid said they received information about the deaths of four people and more details will be known after visiting spots.
