Earthquake jolts parts of country
A 4.8-magnitude earthquake jolted different parts of the country, including Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rangamati and Khagrachari districts, on Sunday afternoon.
The quake struck at 2:45 pm.
The epicenter of the earthquake was in Mawlaik in Myanmar, about 442km south-east of Dhaka, according to the website of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
However, no casualties or damage were reported immediately.
Earlier on Wednesday, another 5.5 magnitude earthquake jolted different parts of the country, including the capital.
