A huge amount of unregistered counterfeit drugs worth around Tk 30 lakh have been seized in the capital Dhaka.

Alongside, a factory making pregnancy test kits and packaging open condoms was found there, and during the drive, two people were arrested from the factory.

DGDA superintendent Romel Mollick said the joint drive was conducted in a factory at Abdul Alim Market in Babubazar and a huge amount of fake pregnancy test kits and open condoms worth around Tk 30 lakh were seized from there.

The drug administration directorate's director Ashraf Hossain said the fake pregnancy kits do not give users the correct information and may result in unexpected incidents.
