MP Anar murder: 3 accused put on fresh remand

A court in Dhaka has placed three accused in MP Anwarul Azim Anar murder case on a five-day remand. 

Those remanded are Syed Amanullah Aman alias Shimul Bhuiyan, Faisal Ali Saji alias Tanvi Bhuiyan, and Celesty Rahman.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shanto Islam Mollick passed the order on Friday after police had produced them before the court.

Earlier on May 24, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dilruba Afroza Tithy put them on an eight-day remand. 

The law enforcers arrested them on May 23 and showed arrested in the case.

On May 22, India's West Bengal police said Anwarul Azim Anar, a lawmaker from the Jhenaidah-4 constituency, was killed there. 

On the same day, his daughter Mumtarin Ferdous Doreen lodged the case mentioned above with Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, Dhaka in this connection.
