Appointment of PM's APS Hafizur, DPS Tushar scrapped

The contractual appointment of Gazi Hafizur Rahman and Hasan Zahid Tushar, assistant private secretary (APS) and deputy press secretary (DPS) to the Prime Minister respectively, has been canceled.

Their contractual appointment was scrapped effective from June as per Article 8 of the agreement executed regarding the appointment, a Public Administration Ministry notification said on Wednesday.

On January 28 this year, Gazi Hafizur and Tushar were made APS-2 and DPS to the Prime Minister respectively.

Before being APS-2, Gazi Hafizur had been serving as the assignment officer of the Prime Minister's Office since 2008 while Tushar earlier worked with an English daily.
