Babar Ali climbs Mount Lhotse too

Babar Ali scaled Mount Lhotse on Tuesday, barely two days after he had conquered Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world.

He reached the summit at 6:05am on Tuesday (Bangladesh local time). 

Lhotse ranks as the fourth highest mountain in the world at 8,516 meters (27,940 ft), after Mount Everest, K2, and Kangchenjunga.

Babar is the first Bangladeshi mountaineer to have managed to climb Everest and Lhotse.

Earlier on Sunday morning, he climbed Mount Everest and raised the red and green flag on top of the world.

The 33-year-old Babar, a resident of Chattogram, completed his MBBS degree from Chattogram Medical College. He started his medical profession but did not continue. 

Before him, Musa Ibrahim (2010), M.A. Muhit (2011), Nishat Majumdar (2012), and Wasfia Nazreen (2012) successfully conquered the Mount Everest. Sajal Khaled climbed the Mount Everest in 2013 but died on his way down.
