Another Bangladeshi climbs Mount Everest

Babar Ali from Bangladesh has climbed the world’s highest mountain Mount Everest and raised the red and green flag on top of the world.

He reached the summit at 8:45 am on Sunday (Bangladesh local time). 

Farhan Zaman, the chief coordinator of his Everest mission, confirmed the information to Jago News.  

He said “Babar is now on his way down to Camp-4. It will take time to get pictures as it is not possible to communicate with him in the death zone.”

“Babar will now turn his focus onto climbing Mount Lhotse. If successful, he would become the first Bangladeshi to summit the fourth-highest peak in the world,” he added. 

The 33-year-old Babar, a resident of Chattogram, completed his MBBS degree from Chattogram Medical College. He started his medical profession but did not continue. 

Before him, Musa Ibrahim (2010), M.A. Muhit (2011), Nishat Majumdar (2012), and Wasfia Nazreen (2012) successfully conquered the Mount Everest. Sajal Khaled climbed the Mount Everest in 2013 but died on his way down.
