Bangladeshi hajj pilgrim dies in Saudi Arabia
A Bangladeshi hajj pilgrim has died in Saudi Arabia, according to hajj management portal of the religious affairs ministry.
Md Asaduzzman, 57, breathed his last in Madinah on Wednesday. His passport number is ‘A13561034’.
The reason of his death could not be known immediately.
This is the first death of a Bangladeshi pilgrim in this year’s hajj.
A total of 86,527 pilgrims will perform hajj from Bangladesh this year. Of them, 27,111 people reached Saudi Arabia till 3am on Saturday.
The holy Hajj will be held on June 16, 2024 (9 Zilhajj of 1445 Hijri) subject to the sighting of the moon.
