Lightning kills 2 workers in Bagerhat

Two construction workers were killed and six more injured in lightning strikes in Sarankhola upazila of Bagerhat on Saturday morning.
The dead were identified as Milon, 35, from Bandi Bhanga village in Morelganj upazila, and Mostafa, 45, Balipara village in Pirojpur.
Sarankhola Police Station officer in-charge ASM Kamruzzaman said several workers were unloading sand from a cargo in Bandhaghat area around 10:30 am and they took shelter under a tin shed when the rain started.
At that time, thunderbolts strike the tin shed, leaving two of them dead on the spot, he said.
