Anu Muhammad’s toes severed in train accident

The toes of former Professor of Jahangirnagar University Anu Muhammad’s left leg were severed in a train accident at Khilgaon railgate in Dhaka on Sunday morning. 

He was rescued and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). 

A man named Mahtab, who took the Professor to the hospital, said Anu Muhammad was returning to Dhaka from Dinajpur by the Ekata Express train. He tried to get down from the train while it was moving towards Khilgaon slowly. At that time, he slipped and his left leg went under the wheels of the train and his toes were cut off.
