Faridpur bus-pickup van collision: Wife also dies after husband

Another victim of the bus-pickup van collision in Faridpur died at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College (BSMMC), Faridpur early Wednesday.

Deceased Popy Begum, 35, was the wife of Iqbal Hossain, a resident of Kumrail village under Rupapat union in Boalmari upazila of the district, who also died in the accident.

With this, the death toll from the incident increased to 15, Boalmari Police Station officer in-charge Md Shahidul Islam confirmed.

Earlier on Tuesday, a bus of 'Unique Paribahan' and a pickup van collided head-on in Dignagar Tetultala area under Kanaipur union in Sadar upazila of Faridpur, leaving 14 people dead.
