BUET Students' Welfare director removed

Professor Dr Md Mizanur Rahman has been removed as the director of the Students' Welfare Directorate of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) amid the demand of protesting students.

In his place, Civil Engineering Department Prof Dr Mohammad Al Amin Siddique has been appointed, an office order signed by Prof Dr Md Forkan Uddin said on Tuesday.

Earlier, common students went to a movement protesting at the entrance of some leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League on the campus at midnight on March 28.

At that time, they placed a six-point demand. Removing Mizanur Rahman from the post of the director of the Students' Welfare Directorate is one of the demands.
