No threat of militant attacks during Eid: DMP Commissioner

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman has said there is no threat of militant attacks in the country during the Eid-ul-Fitr.

The DMP chief made the comment on Tuesday while visiting the National Eidgah where the main Eid congregation will be taken place.

He said there will be a five-tier security arrangement to enter the National Eidgah. The entire area will be monitored through CCTV cameras. The devotees cannot take any kind of bag or items other than prayer mats to the National Eidgah.

The DMP Commissioner said there is no fear of the armed group Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) in the capital so far.
